IMG_0277.jpgLip products:  Top three of the year were my Burt’s Bees lipstick suede splash, 100% Pure lip caramel, Lush perspective  (which is sadly being discontinued). Of course how can I not mention the Fenty beauty gloss bomb? It has made all my lipgloss dreams come true, its a beautiful rose gold shade that makes your lips look like glass. If you don’t have this, you need it.  I have raved about the Burt’s Bees and 100% Pure lippies before but I just can’t stop using these hydrating products.  I do love my a matte lipstick but lately it has been easier to just go with these hydrating lipsticks or my Fenty gloss because they are comfortable and easy to use. They also match everything.

Highlighters: My favourite cream highlighter has been nudestix illuminaughty. Nudestix illuminaughty is a skin glossing highlighter that makes the dewy and fresh look on the skin.

IMG_0275.jpgBronzers: The Elf contouring blush bronzer in St. Lucia and the Essence sun club bronzer, Nudestix bondi bae and the Physicians formula butter bronzer. The the first two bronzers are my summer shades, since I run outside and tend to sweat off even the sport sunscreen I can utilize some warmer shades. Nudestix bondie bae is a recent purchase but its beautiful, very blendable and buildable and something I have been using everyday since I got it. I recently saw Sam Ravndahl rub her beauty blender on it and then blend it into her cheeks. By golly I had to just try it for myself and it was beautiful! The physicians formula Butter bronzer is just a classic – easy peasy to use, a great crease shade – works for everything.

Blush: My top three of the year are The Body Shop multi stick, Milani luminoso and Elf candid coral. This year I noticed I own a lot of blushes….and have been religiously using my cream products or using my hourglass ambient lighting palette that also has two blushes. The Body Shop multi stick is a blessing really, I have worn it on my eyes and cheeks and it’s just a beautiful invention really. Milani luminoso and elf candid coral are my class summer and fall blushes and they just match with many eye looks.

Single eyeshadows: The Annabelle cream eyeshadow  and the Kathleenlights Colourpop eyeshadow way back from her first collab. In the summer I was an avid cream eyeshadow gal. This Annabelle cream shadow in rose gold was the perfect shade to slap on and go. The Kathleenlights Colourpop shadow was a similar texture and never creased.

Face powder: The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light. I mean how can I not mention this? I know, I know I got it in November but with my dryer winter skin it works as a setting powder and while it cost an arm and a leg I don’t see it running out anytime soon.

IMG_0274.jpgFace palette: The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit in Surreal light, the only link I can find is on net-a -porter since its no longer available at Sephora or on their website. Again, I have spoken about this before its a true gem. It has great blushes, a great bronzer, and is pretty much great for all the things. The Anastasia glow kit by Nicole Guerriero was my shiznit in the summer, sorry folks I can’t find this one online. Anastasia makes a lot of options so there is one out there for you!All of the colours are usable, even the darker highlight shades can be used on the lid and other shades can be mixed with the light white shade to create a perfect highlight

Palettes. I have palettes that I used quite frequently this year, the Covergirl nudes, Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, and the Naked 3The Covergirl nudes, I don’t LOVE this palette but I don’t dislike it either, it is a great (as the name suggests) nude everyday palette and I’m almost done it I mean look at that pan. The Too Faced Sweet peach, again my classic spring, summer going into fall palette, I love all the colours and you can get so many different looks with it.  The Naked 3, while not a widely loved Urban Decay palette I quite enjoy it. It is the perfect professional palette. I wear this palette to interviews, to professional networking events as well as when I just need to look put together without too much heavy eye makeup.

Concealers: Pur disappearing act and the Nudestix concealer pencil. When I bought the Pur concealer  it was before I left for Europe because I wanted it for an easy, no fuss concealer for my jet lagged self and it’s BEAUTIFUL. I don’t need to set it and it hardly creases. I was going to try the glossier stretch concealer after I’m done this one but I think I might just have to repurchase. Ah the Nudestix concealer. I would say this is the most underrated product in the entire Nudestix line, it’s easy to blend out and needs minimal setting which makes it great for quick makeup looks in the morning.

Mascara: I have two I have in this list aren’t my favourite favourite, but I like them a lot better then the covergirl ones I used to use. I have been for half of 2017 liking the Physicians formula organic wear mascara and the other is the Nudestix mascara which was a Sephora VIB purchase. I mainly like these two because they don’t irritate my sensitive eyes and they are both organic certified which is a bonus.

What have been your stand out or most frequently used products in 2017?
