First how is May already? I can’t believe it. I don’t have all my grades back yet but alas I am done my undergrad! Of course, throughout April I may (see what I did there) have found some gems that I wanted to share in things I liked and did. I really didn’t do anything so these are some of the products I was loving!
One of my 2018 goals was to find a great skincare regime and I think I have just found my favourite toner of life. The Thayers lavender toner is AMAZING. I use it every morning on a cotton pad (reusable of course) and press it into my skin. It smells wonderful and my skin loves it. Plus it’s more mid range so it’s on the affordable side and you can find it in a range of places, including Marshalls or Winners, Nutrition house and well.ca.
Something not so affordable I have been loving is is the new highlighter I bought during the sale. This is the NARS Forte De France highlighter. Excuse me while I pretend I’m the Anna Edit and wear this with my Topshop jeans and polka dot button down, basically twins. It’s beautiful! It’s very glossy and shiny and I can’t get enough it! The powder itself feels very lux and it lasts all day. It does slightly emphasize texture but to be quite honest so do all my other highlighters.
This was a bit of a surprise for me, the Body Shop Fresh Nude foundation. I am on the hunt for a good foundation that I can wear when I’m feeling foundation for the day. It is hard to find one that is cleanish ingredient wise and that is affordable (which surprise surprise this one has some pesky ingredients that I’m not too keen on but I don’t wear it everyday so alas the hunt will continue once I use up this one). But it does have a beautiful satin finish and doesn’t require setting which I love and its great for the summer. It’s a great shade match and thus far I’m liking it!
Can I be anymore more repetitive but the Vinoperfect Glycolic Brightening Essence by Caudalie Again, a purchase from the Sephora sale. I’ll be damned but this has changed my skin. I wouldn’t say I have “bad” or “blemished” skin but I do have a bit of texture on my cheeks and t zone and find my skin feeling congested and this really brightens and clears my skin! The thing I don’t like: why is it expensive? The thing I like: the brand story, the smell, the clean ingredients and the entire brand philosophy.
A fashion fave, the Topshop raw hem jeans. By golly, I want to get a few more pairs of the Jamie jeans eventually because all Topshop jeans I have are extremely flattering and it just feels good to wear flattering jeans! They are pricey but I think they are great quality. I feel myself graduating from
The Lush Karma solid perfume. I love this scent so much, it smells exactly like a lush store. It has a fresh but warm smell, but is still a summer scent that I can get down with. I never buy scents and this is expensive in the spray form. I got the solid but by golly once I’m out of this I may just buy the full size!
