I love a good lightweight foundation. The benefit foundation was one I had heard about before but never tried. When I had some shoppers points I picked this bad boy up and fell in love. I am so excited to review it in this little foundation review week

The claims: Benefit’s new Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation evens out the look of skin tone and blurs imperfections with soft-focus optical blurring spheres. The lightweight, buildable formula is easy to apply and flashback free, plus it contains shea extract, an ingredient known to smooth the look of skin and help protect it*. With a natural matte finish and light-to-medium coverage, Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation looks like skin and feels like nothing at all. It’s available in 12 easy-to-choose shades that let a range of skin tones put on a happy face”.

This is a very natural-looking foundation with a matte finish. I think that the claim is extremely accurate. This foundation feels like nothing on the skin, isn’t dewy but isn’t too matte and does not cling onto dry patches. This does dry down quickly, but not so quickly that you can’t blend it out. This is also a foundation that is the perfect light coverage, you can use it with your fingers, a sponge and a brush and it would feel heavy in any instance.

The application: I do prefer to apply this with a sponge however if I’m having a lazy day, I still think this works well with fingers.
The prices: this is $40 CAD for 1 fluid ounce of product. I think this is a pretty fair price for a high-end foundation. While this is expensive, it is also in my opinion worth the money. If you are are like me and prefer a sheer – medium coverage with a very skin-like effect. This is the product for you!

Overall rating: 4.5/5 stars. I have to say, this is one of my first high-end foundations and its so lovely. It had cute packaging but the only gripe i have is the shade range. Benefit Cosmetics is notorious for smalls shade ranges and I think this range needs to be expanded.
