Day Dreamer Palette by Hilary Duff x Nudestix Review

When I saw that nudestix was doing a collab with Hilary duff I knew I had to order. Hilary duff was my favourite actress growing up and she still is. I also love Nudestix so what a better collab to spend my money on? Seriously name one. I pre-ordered this and it came in such a cute box with instructions and the inspiration behind the collection. What I love about nudestix is it’s for the person who is on the go, who is constantly working or going through life and is short on time. I check all of these boxes. There products in my opinion are all easy and simple to use with good pigment but are fool proof.

This is what the website says about this palette: “The Daydreamer Palette brings your makeup routine to the next level, with fresh new shades that range from gorgeous burnt ambers to subtle soft pinks and beyond. The kit includes three shimmery eye pencils, a matte blush, a pearl highlighter and a multipurpose lip balm — giving you everything you need to get glowing skin, pink glossy lips and delicate, earth-toned eye makeup”.

Let’s start with the eye pencils. These come in three new shade. The shades are called Prism, night dweller and bright eyes. I think what I like about these pencils is the simplicity but with my oily eye lids these definitely crease so I wear a primer underneath. I find that the shades of these are bright but not too intense so I can wear them to work (not that I believe in makeup rules but it’s the best way to describe them). The lip pencil is such an easy, balmy pinky rose shade. Definitely is a work staple.

There is a nudies matte all over colour in body language. This is a new shade and is just slightly lighter and more neutral then sunset strip. It has a beautiful satin finish (though they call it matte) with ease of use for all parts of the face including eyes, lips and cheeks. The nudies glow in half moon is such a pretty highlighter. This one is more iridescent than illuniaughty which I would classify as more Of a glass skin type highlighter. Half moon has duochrome lavender undertone but because of its white base I find it completely “wearable” for my day to day life.

Price: $89 CAD for the set including the eye pencils, lip pencil, and two face products plus a makeup bag and the sharpened and tins. I think that this is worth it simply because when added up all of these products are $204 CAD. A good value in my opinion. The overall rating for this product is 5/5 stars for me bravo Nudestix and Hilary Duff.
