This format is totally inspired by Amanda GlowGetter, one of my favourite blogs and internet friends. Her Sephora Sale Recommendations post was such a cool way to showcase products that she loves so it inspired me to write one.
I wanted to note, that I have not been practicing what I preach in terms of brands that I support. My order really reflected that and as I’ve said before in my ethical consumption blog post there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. That is not to say I’m going to support outwardly “bad” brands, but I also still like buying what I’m attracted to. So when you see my haul keep that in mind.
Natasha Denona Bronze Palette
This was a palette that I resisted purchasing for so long and eventually I caved. After a week of work and I went into my local Sephora and bought this beast. This has the most beautiful range of warm tones and bronze tones perfect for the fall winter season.
Rare beauty Luminizer
This is such a lovely luminizer that has a glass like finish on the skin. This product comes in 8 different shades for a range of skin tones. This is one of the most expansive shade ranges in a liquid highlighter and a really nice formula. I also find this is very “work appropriate”, whatever that means, and is super easy to use.
Kosas Revealer Concealer
This is such as beautiful concealer that creates a medium coverage finish under the eyes. It also does not crease too badly so I find it is very nice for a long work day.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream
In lieu of my distaste for Drunk Elephant right now, I purchased the Kiehl’s ultra facial cream instead of repurchasing the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro (not a perfect dupe) and I will continue the hunt for a dupe or at least something that gives my skin that same plump and non dry feeling. This is so far a really great moisturizer but for the winter I’m needing something a bit thicker now.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer
This is a lovely bronzer, with a sorely lacking shade range. The reason it is in my recommendations is because if you want to treat yo self, formula and packaging wise you won’t regret this one.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
The reason I am including this is because they have now come out with a mini. This is a beautiful contour palette because I find the contour shade is the most natural contour shade if you are looking to just create a little bit of depth and nothing that is going to look too ashy. If you have been itching to try this – get the mini!
Roen Beauty 75 degree Quad
If you like a one and done shadow look, this quad is for you. While it rings it at quite the hefty price, these are easy to use daily shadows for the gal on the go.
Kosas Stardust Lipstick and Bobbi Brown crushed lip colour
These two lip formulas have been favourite formulas throughout 2020. Despite the mask wearing life, I do tend to wear a lipstick throughout my work day when I’m at home, or even at the office when I’m in my cubicle. Both formulas are such lovely sheer to full lipsticks that feel lux on the lips. Pic below is me wearing some of the products!
What’s in my cart?
I have a few items I’ve already bought and a few more sitting in my cart right now. The order coming in I got a few things that I’ve been eyeing for awhile. I got the Laniege sleeping mask, the Josie Maran Concealer and foundation, the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood flawless filter, the mini lawless setting powder, the Too Faced Warm and Spicy eye shadow palette and the Ilia Liquid Serum highlighter. I got some of these for blog purposes and other things because I’ve had my eye on them for awhile I decided to take the plunge. I may make one more order of a few gifts but until then, enjoy the sale!
