I love project pans and wanted to start another (actually I have been using these since May 1) but am just late on posting these items. Usually, the classic labour day project pan is a 7 by labour day but I wanted to do 6 as to not have too many things on my plate. This project will end of September 2 so it is a Spring-Summer project.
Too Faced Sweet Peach
The first item I chose was the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette, particularly the shade luscious and summer yum because I use those shades quite often. This is a lovely palette that I generally use in the spring anyway so I decided to throw it in this project.
NARS Forte De France
The second item in this project is one of my favourite highlighters. The NARS highlighter in the shade Forte De France. Quite honestly, I don’t think I will hit pan on this but I do think I have a shot since it does have an existing dip from being in previous projects.
Hourglass blush in incandescent Electra
This is such a lovely blush that it is so easy to wear. It doesn’t have a ton of peach in it but the marbling makes for a nice effect on the skin. I want to see this dip significantly in the next few months.
Anastasia Bronzer in Tawny
This is a lovely matte bronzer and has a nice finish. This does pull red and I like to be light handed with it. I don’t see this hitting pan but I want to use it as much as possible. If you are interested in a full review you can read it here.
The ELF plumping lip gloss in Champagne
I chose this lip gloss because it seemed like one of the easier things to pan. Every time I use it, the product goes down a bit more and the progress is visible.
The Colourpop Supernova Shadow in Running Orbits
I chose this for the project because it also has some progress already. It creates a lovely glittery eye and is super easy to use. I don’t find this creases easily and it makes me look “put together” quickly. I even wear this in a light layer during the day and I love it!
I decided to combine my February and March faves into one post, simply because in February I didn’t really do or try anything. Alas I decided to combine them. The past two months have been such a 360 from the previous months at the end of 2018 … I just can’t believe it! Enjoy my favourites fam!
I want to first give a shout out toPopsugar fitness on YouTube. Since starting my new internship (Which I am liking quite a lot), I have had minimal days during the week that I can actually workout. I now understand why people go to the gym at lunch … in any case because I am an intern I like to hop on anything I can work wise so I haven’t been exercising really at all during the week, except for Saturdays and Sundays. For those workouts, I have been doing the PopSugar fitness 30 min or longer workouts. I really like these workouts because while their jobs on this channel are fitness, they are also are sweating and tired. I like that they are authentic workouts and kick my butt. I am still trying to balance the hours I work with working out so I’d like to start doing something at lunch: whether that is going to the gym to bike or even running at lunch eek!
The Knix wear bras. OMG I HAVE FINALLY FOUND A BRA TO FIT MY BREASTICLES. I tell you, since gaining a bit of weight finding any bras that fit has been a struggle. These bras fit perfectly, cover everything and look great under anything you’ll be wearing. I think I will only buy these from now on. The best thing is is that these bras are from a Canadian company that uses women of all different shapes and sizes to model their bras. So when you click on size 8 it shows someone who is a 34D who is actually a 34D etc.
Articles of Society jeans. I have the fit called Sarah. I have never found a pair of jeans not from American Eagle that actually make me feel good about my body. As soon as I put these on in the change room I actually felt good about my body. They aren’t super high rise but they are high enough to make me feel good. I am eyeing a few more pairs to get later this year! I want to try their high rise ones.
Thebenefit hello happy foundation. This is a lovely foundation. It has light coverage and a natural finish. It isn’t matte, but creates a nice satin radiant finish (at least on my skin). It is my first truly high-end foundation and I couldn’t be happier with it.
The Colourpop single shadow inringerand thenaked 3. This is a specific combination that I rather enjoy. I love layering the shade from Colourpop over anything from the naked 3 palette. It gives the look a bit more life and creates a nice glossy effect on the lid.
Elf Beautifully bare face palette. I have been using this for traveling and have been loving it. It only works for fair skin which is extremely unfortunate. The formula of these powders is so nice. They are smooth and look lovely on the skin.
Dior lip glow. This. is. The. most. Luxiourous. Lip. product. I love it. I have been wearing this every day. This is the product that apparently reacts with your bodies chemistry and gives a custom colour to match your skin tone. I can’t exactly attest to this, but the shade I have is 004 Coral and it creates my perfect sheer coral shade (at least in my eyes).
Anastasia Amrezy highlighter (this is so sad but it’s no longer on Sephora rip). Ughhhh I keep forgetting how great this is. It is a glossy sheen that lasts all day. It is a unique formula in that I find it is so smooth it almost gives a wet look to the skin. Highly recommend. This also can last a 14 hour day and leave you glowing at the end of the night.
There is one lonely item in the category, but its a goodie! That product is the The Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream. Amazing. There is nothing like this moisturizer (at least that I’ve tried). I have been a die hard drugstore moisturizer gal. Then, with all the driving I do and the office air, I realized I needed to step up my game. My skin had been flaking on my chin by 1 or 2 p.m. each day. Now, with this, my skin is moisturized for my 14 hour days all day with no flaking. A huge win and it will be a painful day to repurchase when it runs out, but I shall be investing in this again after I run out.
I’m SO EXCITED to start the 12 pans of Christmas. I also wanted to announce that instead of doing blogmas I think I’m going to a 12 days of blogging or something just to make it easier on myself so I can balance all the adult things in my life. Stay tuned for later in December.
I’m really excited to start this project since my 13 by Halloween was so successful I am really excited to start this project. I have selected 12 items and this project will end on Dec 31. This project is a shortie but goodie.
Foundations and Concealers
I wanted to chose a few foundations that I have and that are a bit older in my collection to attempt to use up for this project. First is the Gosh Foundation Drops. I do really like these and I think that I can use a lot of them up. I don’t wear foundation to work as its long shifts but otherwise on my days off I will be either wearing this on its own or mixing it. I also wanted to utilize theAndalous Naturals CC cream sheer tint because I am very close to using this up and since it’s so sheer it’s great for work and otherwise. Okay so controversial – and you all know my feelings on this concealer, but I want to try to use the Too Faced Scuplting concealerbecause it is so light and brightening I think it might work well for my winter skin. I also wanted to throw in another concealer that is a bit “older” in my collection (I got it in July but you know I love it and want to use it) is the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer.
The Eye Products
I want to use myBite Beauty MultiStick in Brioche. I really like this on the eye and mixed in with a lip gloss and on the cheeks when applied with fingers and sheered out. For an eye shadow palette theNaked Heat.I really do love this palette and it’s really a classic warm toned palette that can work for several holiday looks.
Did I select too many highlighters? Yes I did.
I LOVE theNars forte de France Highlighterso I thought I would throw it in this project. You might notice all of these highlighters are in my makeup stash Fridays posts but I thought in an effort to use up things in my collection I’d put them in this project. I also chose thePhysicians Formula Butter Highlighter in Pearl. This is a beautiful icy highlighter that has a stain finish. The third highlighter I want to use is my Nudestix illuminaughtyHighlighter. I really like this for just an everyday easy glossy highlighter. As for goals, I know I realistically won’t hit pan, but I want to just make a dent in these items.
The Face palette and Random wet n wild product.
I feel like I always have some sort of wet n wild product in my projects. I want to use the Wet n Wild Contour stick in Oaks on You. I actually really like this product I just rarely stray from my powder products and from my Nudestix Cream bronzer. I also wanted to throw in the Hourglass Ambient lighting palette in surreal light. I use this all the time. It’s so easy for work, everyday and can be built up to glowy goodness. I also wanted to throw in a red lipstick because it is the holiday season after all. I love the Burt’s Bees Lipstick formula and equally love the shadeScarlet Soaked. It\s a low maintenance red that is good for every day but can be built up to full opacity for holiday gatherings etc.
Are you planning on panning anything for the holiday season?
I LOVE me a good fall eye shadow palette and I do have my eyes on a few colourpop ones but alas I’m holding off. The reason being I have so many other palettes in my collection that are perfect for the fall season and can carry us into the holiday season. I have rounded up a few palettes I’m bringing in to my rotation for the fall season.
The orange tones
no shades names
Left-right: Ounce, Chaser, Sauced, Low blow, Lumbre, He Devil, Dirty talk, Scorched, Cayenne, En fuego, Ashes, Ember
I love orange eyeshadow…like a lot. I have a few palettes that are more specifically geared towards the oranges. First is my all time favourite drugstore palette and that is the Milani Earthy Elements palette. The quality in this palette is just amazing. It has every shade you need for a simple look or for a full on fall look. The next one is the Naked Heat Palette. I love this palette really for all seasons but I want to use it a lot for the remainder of the year. There are warm browns, oranges, reds and purples. An all around great palette.
The neutral palette
Left to right: Tempera, Dirty Rose, Glistening, Fairy, Orange Soda, Burnt orange, Rose pink, Sienna, Sultry, Bronze, Rustic, Cyprus umber, Mulberry, Noir
I have one palette for this category. This palette is not necessarily the traditional neutral palette you might see but it is one of the most versatile in terms of shades and the ease of use it what makes a neutral palette easy to use. The Anastasia soft glam has a variety of tones including cool purples, dusty pinks, neutral warm browns and a matte black. I put this one in a neutral section because for me I feel like this is a really versatile palette for every season but you can really make this palette very fall and then also create more cool toned rose looks. Every time I use this palette I am floored by the quality of these shadows
The coloured gems
Left to right: White peach, Nectar, Peaches n cream, Luscious, Cobbler, Georgia, Just peachy, Candied peach, Caramelized, Bless her heart, Bellini, Puree
Left to right: Tempting, Peach Pit, Summer yum, Charmed I’m Sure, Delectable, Talk Derby to Me

Again, going off of the pumpkin makeup theme we discussed lasttime. I have three for this one. The Huda Beauty Coral Obsessions really is one of the most versatile monochrome palettes. It has neutral browns and reds as well as peaches all coming together for a seamless fall look. My ride or die the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette. I love all the shades in the palette and the variety of tones including peaches, warm browns, light bone shades, purples, etc making it a seasonless and an easy palette to use. Lastly, we have the NYX Olive Youpalette. Tonally this is the perfect fall palette (there I said it okay, I admit it). I love the tones in this palette, the bronze shade, the warm orangey-brown crease shade, the olive shades and the golden shimmer shade. This palette is simple to use but not lacking in shades you need to create a fall look of your choice. I like that it has a variety of colours, but not too much variety that it becomes overwhelming. Perfectly balanced and a beautifully formulated!
