This is the big one. This quad is … a lot of monies. I was looking for something that was simple and easy to reach for on the daily. I have lusted over this palette for a long time and can I just say: it’s nice but I think there’s just as good out there. I love a luxury product, I love how they feel, but I also think there are other easy everyday palette’s out there that you can get a lot less. Does this mean I wouldn’t consider buying another of these quads: absolutely not, but first let’s get into the review of the actual shadows.

The description on Sephora.com Each Eye Color Quad is designed with four opulent, complementary shades that achieve multiple looks, from a bold smoky eye, to a sexy slash of color, and everything in between.

Tom Ford Coco mirage open, beige, brown, copper

Let’s begin with the claims. The claims are accurate – you can achieve multiple looks from one eye wonders to smokey eyes. Now, this is a pretty much all matte palette which I don’t have but I still find myself enjoying a shimmer or satin. These are the colours:  matte light beige, matte neutral medium beige, warm copper with shimmer, matte chocolate brown. These shadse are my jam. I love brown and bronze eyeshadows. It was a toss-up between this and the nude dip (honestly still on my list but in due time).

The shadows are creamy, but not too soft, they have minimal fallout and blend out nicely. They are pigmented but not enough that they will there is too much pigment on the eyes and then you are blending like a mad women. This is a white t-shirt type of palette – I’m talking the one (or two) reliable t-shirts you have in your wardrobe, this is the palette equivalent. Did I steal them from Michelle Wang, yes I did. This palette is expensive, and while you can find other neutral palettes and singles that give the same vibe, there is something about this palette that is so enjoyable to use.

Let’s get to the price. It hurts my soul to say: $115. That’s a lot. Honestly, what I will say, is this palette is not better than any other brand at Sephora. The main difference I see in this palette is the way the shadows sit on my eyes, however, the soft glam also sits wonderfully on the lids. By that, I mean it doesn’t look powdery or chunky. What this palette does, is your eyes but better look. It has the easy of a palette with a no brainer vibe that I’m down with. However, if this is not in your budget (whose budget is it in) then don’t get this palette. This is a lovely, classy lady palette. When I used it I feel like I’m a girl boss who means business.

Now lets not get too intense here – I don’t think anyone (including myself) should spend this much on a palette. I like that it is a quad which I find is harder to find in both the high end and drugstore world, but that being said, I use all the shades. I supposed the build your palettes are an option, but I like the sleekness of this quad and how easy it is to reach for on a daily basis.

Overall rating: 4 out of 5 stars docking for the price. I think that when you are looking for a luxury product, you expect to pay the luxury price. I purposely sought out this palette, therefore, I carefully considered buying this product. I will not recommend something that is this much money, but if you are in the market for a classy, treat yourself kind of item then this might be your jam.
