I know. I just did a blog post about ethical consumption, but I also just made a shoppers trip and a Sephora order. I’m not proud of it let me tell you. I am falling into that trap of trying to find holy grail products while having all my old makeup products still in my collection that I know and love. In any case, I was a bit inspire by Estee Lalonde and The Anna Edit to buy some of these things, as well as Jamie Paige and Jessica Braun. Yes I too fall into the influencers.

First, I ordered a few things from Sephora with their welcomeback sale. It wasn’t even a good deal. I got a few things. First, I have been wanting to try the Kosas Revealer Concealer and the Kosas Sunshow baked bronzer so I bought them. Shocker I know. Also shocker because I was so committed to buying better shade ranges and here we are. Then after watching Estee Lalonde’s recent favourites I bought the Armani Beauty Neo Nude Foundation in the shade 3. LOL @ the shade range of all these. Shitty. Again, I am trying to balance my persona taste in makeup with making “ethical” purchases.

The other item I bought at Sephora was the Roen eyeshadow palette in 75 Degrees. These shadows have such a unique creamy texture that feels so different to any other cream shadow I’ve tried in my beauty life. They are kind of similar to the Colourpop Super Shock shadows but are not exactly the same as I was picturing. I got two other eye shadow items at Shoppers Drug Mart. One is the metallic shadow in this fun coral shade in extraordinaire, which is a new line to their collection called the ColourQueen Oil eyeshadow line. I also bought the new Maybelline Colour Strike Cream to Powder Pen eye shadow. I also got an old faithful mascara line, an Essence mascara in the Get Big Lashes.

The reason I went into Shoppers in the first place was to get the Embroyalisse Lait Creme Concentrate as my day moisturizer, so I can use my Derma E sensitive skin cream at night since I find it doesn’t sit the best under makeup.

And of course, can I ever resist a good cheek product? No I cannot. I go the L’Oreal Lumi Bronze It that I have been seeing Jessica Braun use (also my inspiration behind the foundation I’m about to talk about). I was really hoping this would be a dupe for the Hourglass Bronzer but alas it is not similar in tone but is very similar in feel and texture. I also got the Quo Dewy Cheek Tint. This caught my eye immediately because it has two of my fave things: cheeks and dewy!

I would like to say that upon swatching the L’Oreal Radiant Serum Foundation and the Armani Beauty Neo Nude Foundation feel strikingly similar when swatched … these are possible dupes. Will report back.
