For the second installment of our foundation week, I wanted to review the Kosas Tinted Face Oil. When I saw this brand landed at Sephora I knew I had to try this product. I saw Estee Lalonde use it, I saw JaimePaige use it (sadness she did not enjoy it) but I didn’t see too many other people talk about it. I thought this would be the perfect foundation for the cooler months so I decided to try it out.
Let’s start with the claims: A featherweight, light-coverage foundation and hydrating skin elixir in 10 shades that can be worn across 30 skin tones.

I don’t know how true the 30 skin tones is … but I will say this is a very sheer product and really just gives the skin a filter.
I think that this foundation is really lovely and dewy. This foundation wears surprisingly long. I found this lasted all day on me and survives the sweat. I do recommend for this hot summer weather but if you are doing to wear it, I would set it with a powder. Another pro to his product is it is clean at Sephora but this is a clean brand in general and I love that. It doesn’t make my skin itchy and takes a few seconds to apply making it a perfect work base product.

Application: This product applies great with fingers and a sponge. I don’t use brushes really at all to apply face products so I cannot speak to that. I use my fingers mostly for this product because I find it really warms up the product and sheers it out for that perfect dewy base that doesn’t make me look too greasy. In terms of how it feels on the skin, it does feel lightweight so much so that I can’t tell it’s on my skin when I’m wearing it.

Price: $55 CAD 30ml/1oz of product. Again, this is really pricey. I think this is worth it if you can afford it. I don’t like to recommend products that are too expensive, but in the case of this one it feels lovely on the skin and one I can see myself using on a more frequent basis than my more full coverage counterparts. Overall, I’m giving this foundation a 4/5 because it is one of the best “clean” foundations I’ve used and gives me that lovely dewy base I strive for on the daily.
