How is it almost July? I just can’t believe how this summer has flown by! I wanted to pop up a little Things I liked and did in June. There aren’t many makeup products this month but there are just a lot of good happenings and good skincare bits.

Let’s start with the makeup: The Lush emotional brilliance powder. This is such a surprise to me. It has talc in it which can be drying but it’s sets my under eyes so well and doesn’t dry them out. Because it is so hot here, this has actually been the perfect setting powder and I find it doesn’t ever look cakey.

lush-powder

The only other makeup item is the Joe Fresh tinted Lip balm in the shade mango. I have been reaching for it quite often and keep it in my work bag. It’s a really beautiful formula and just glides right on. This is such a hidden gem of the Canadian drugstore and is from a cruelty free brand. Bonus! I try to shop all cruelty free but more on that in a future post I have planned. These also come in so many colours and smell like candy which is always a big plus in my books.

lush-celestial

The second item I have been loving is Lush celestial which I have never tried before. It is really moisturizing and non irritating thus far. That has been my age old problem is I will buy a moisturizer and it will immediately sort of burn my skin or create some sort of irritation. I would like to try some Korean skincare brands and of course the Drunk elephant lala retro cream, but for now I have been loving this lush formula.

tea-tree

The Body Shop tea tree oil. I replaced my Thursday Plantation one with this and I just love it. I know there are dermatologists out there and skincare brand founders that are against the use of essential oils but I find that this really zaps any problems I am having with pimples.

My degree! I am so excited to have finally attained the most expensive paper of my life. My graduation day was wonderful, I’m so glad to have finally complete my degree and learned so much about myself and the world along the way. It is such a good feeling to have finally attained the degree I always dreamed of getting, which sounds odd but women’s studies has taught me so many things that I cannot put into words in such a small paragraph. I also had the most wonderful day,  I saw all my friends, my parents, my aunt and soon I will be home to see my Buttons!

Doing Blune! I made the decision to Blune around the end of May because I really wanted to challenge myself to make at least 27 pieces of content (so not everyday in June) but most days. I have been loving this, and been loving discovering other new blogs through this journey. I can’t wait to continue to blog more and more for the small community that takes the time to read my blog.

This was a short and sweet favourites because June has been such a busy month with Blune, with moving and packing. What did you love in June?
